Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11
It's inspiring to know that we are not alone; by sharing concerns with our Interparish Council (the seven Episcopal Churches in the South Bronx) - and ecumenically with organizations like South Bronx Churches and Bronx Health Reach, we have empowered members of our church and community to get things done and have an improved quality of life.
Senior Citizens Program (The "Youngtimers") - This program involves educational and recreational activities for members of our church and community. Unfortunately, we've heard too many stories of senior citizens being taken advantage of through various scams. By meeting together and sharing their stories and bringing in speakers to address a variety of issues, we strive to help them feel less vulnerable. They also have trips to cultural and educational institutions that they might otherwise not be able to attend.
Food Pantry - at 1905 Morris Avenue
Volunteers bag the food. Our Food Pantry is offered to anyone in need from the community. Hot meals, as well as perishable and non-perishable foods, are distributed from St. Edmund's location on Mondays and Thursdays.
All Saints' Food Pantry Program is the second largest food pantry in the South Bronx.
Family Youth Development Program
Virtual Youth Program
This is sponsored by the South Bronx Team Ministry, serving families and youth 12-19. The program meets via Zoom twice a week on Mondays at 7:30 pm and on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
They address issues ranging from Gun violence, suicide, teen pregnancy, bullying, college and career counseling, and peer pressure.
We connect youth to opportunities and trips that explore education & career options, service learning, internships, and special events.
We build youth leadership skills, including public speaking, personal development, life skills, decision-making/problem-solving, self-management, and citizenship.
